The Year We Held Our Breath
One city. Three neighborhoods. Many versions of the same year.
In 2020, Backstory Media and The Camera 1 Group began recording Washingtonians while history was still unfolding. Nearly fifty real-time interviews across Anacostia, Capitol Hill, and the H Street Corridor now form the foundation of a feature documentary revisiting that year through the voices of the people who lived it.
